Illustrated buckets of Griffith Park

It is true. There was a period where every single bucket to be found within the park had a map illustration containing information about travel beneath the park, L.A. River and Burbank. I believe in all, six different bucket posters were produced. These were meticulous, fine illustrations featuring cut-away renditions of these areas.

Semi-recent auction results have shown that the buckets themselves have become something of a 'collector's item' with at least one trading hands in 2021 for a decent sum. I doubt any still exist in the park today but one can never be sure with that place as the park has a natural way of absorbing (and obscuring) things.
