The Hiding Man Eternal

A recent folk art purchase and forever addition to my home . This beautiful hand-carved doll with an uncanny resemblance to his majesty of the park was made in the late 1920s or 1930s. To boost the signal aimed right at me, to guarantee that I acted swiftly in my purchase, he is dressed in antique Stifel fabric overalls (you can still make out the iconic boot stamp).

Is this doll a happy coincidence for this artist or evidence that THM (or the essence of him) has existed long before his gestation in my brain some years ago?
